This poster was created to align with the prompt and theme of diversity. Initially this was not a theme I found myself intrigued by or attached to but that gave me a challenge and eager approach to do something quite different. I wanted to showcase an image not usually associated with “diversity”, so I thought of different ways to interpret what diversity means to different people. This allowed me to come up with the phrase “We Are All Pages in an Infinite Book”. From there I was able to come up with my image of a book that has no end and also makes the infinity symbol in its floating pages above. The visual concept was there but I decided to push it further making it more of a scene with other books being displayed and a little mouse to give a sense of comfort in a library or study. I also drew the image in pen and ink to give a more children’s story book aesthetic to the poster which aligned with the library aesthetic I was going for.
